On Wednesday 12 September, 35 employees were present in de AquaZoo in Leeuwaren. They came from various Vermilion locations and all attended the national Day of Caring. The local coordinator of the Zonnebloem organization ensured that each Vermilion employee was linked to a guest. The guests could enter the zoo under supervision of our employees.
The Zonnebloem organization is founded for people with a physical disability. Their mission is to give them an unforgettable day. Unfortunately, loneliness is a common problem within this target group, therefore the foundation organizes a day out. This year Vermilion could be part of this day out. This day can be looked back at with smiles and tears.
The Day of Caring is an international concept within Vermilion Energy. This is being organized in all countries where Vermilion operates. The goal is to give something back to the communities where we operate. This is one of the key elements of Vermilion's community investment policy. Photo credits: Bas Visser
